And can you work at home or do you have to be in the office?

Yes. I think that's one of the, I think really good things about being an academic. If I don't have meetings I am my own person and I tend to work a day a week at home. I try not to have any meetings one of the days so that I can just have some protected time where I've got a whole day to do a joined up bit of thinking. I think you kind of need that, just some, if you're setting an exam, trying to write a paper or something like that you can't do that in hour long chunks, it just doesn't work.
