Video clip: Angela's PhD was part funded by a pharmaceutical company.

I completed my degree in chemistry and I had the opportunity then at that time to study for a PhD, to stay in Oxford and study for a PhD, which was funded in part by a pharmaceutical company and which would help get me into medicinal chemistry and actually applying chemistry towards a medicinally relevant problem.

And so I was really keen to do that; I spent three years here, getting a lot of training in how to make molecules and how to design molecules which was wonderful, and it really set me on the road to what I wanted to do for my career longer term.
