Support from friends and family
Video clip: Jo’s explains how her husband and friends provide her with practical and emotional support.
Okay. So I'm married. So my husband does most of the emotional, physical, he does all the cooking and cleaning for example. So I'm quite lucky in that respect, that I'm not having to employ PAs and things, because I've got him, who looks after me essentially. I have quite a strong friendship network online. Because my stamina - after a day at work, it doesn't - I'm not exhausted, but I'm - generally want to sit on the couch for the rest of the evening rather than go out. So most of my friends, we communicate mostly online. And I don't know if that's more maybe just a millennial thing anyway, but it is quite helpful when you just want to zone out. You can have the computer and have a conversation with someone, but you don't actually have to make the effort to dress up and go to a pub [laugh]. Which is quite good.
