Support from managers and department
Interview excerpt: Having a manager who took a proactive approach was appreciated by Mary.

I think that sense of knowing that there's a member of staff who might need different kinds of considerations, and been proactive in asking me what I needed, was really, really helpful. And I think the nature of the department that I'm in, I mean it's absolutely vast, means that people with problems can get lost, lost along the way. And I suppose particularly people like me, who tend to be very reserved and private about their personal circumstances, so don't always come forward and make a - well, not make a fuss, but say very much about it. But that's been very helpful.
