Interview excerpt: Rachel found her managers were reluctant to refer her to occupational health, even though she believed it would be a good source of support for her mental health problems.
And I had been to occupational health a couple of times before, and I thought that they might be quite helpful, so I asked to go back to occupational health, just for somebody else to talk to. And she said "Oh, you don't need to go to occupational health." And I had to fight quite hard for that. I kind of felt that if I was going to be unwell and at work, and it could potentially have an impact, then I kind of needed occupational health to be on my side; fighting in my corner.
