Interview excerpt: Mary familiarised herself with her disability rights, which helped give her confidence that she was using the right language.


Image representing MaryI did some reading myself, so that I knew what was reasonable and not reasonable to expect. And I also found it helpful - yes. So in college then, they've said it's helpful if you tell us what your constraints are and what you need, and that's really helpful. And so just saying I need more time, or I need this allowance. That that has been helpful, and almost just like knowing the right discourse to use [laughing] has been helpful.
