Interview excerpt: Frances explains how she feels stuck in the wrong role, and unable to progress to one that emphasises her abilities.
I like solving problems. So I like kind of thinking about the legal things, or - you know - why does the tax apply in this instance, or whatever? But I think the problem is that I've got such a terrible track record of work that I can't really get above a certain level. And I can't - you know - I can't enter a certain, above a certain level. And they were like enter - You get very repetitive jobs, and so I screw them up. And then they just take more work off you, and make it more and more basic. And so it's kind of like a vicious circle really. I don't know. I suppose I just wish there was a mechanism where you could sort of leapfrog the more basic stuff. But you can't. You know, you can't, because it's not fair on other people I suppose, is it. And it's not fair - It's like kind of doing an exam, saying you're ill and assuming that you get a brilliant mark. You know, you can't do that. You can't assume that. So it's like - you know - sort of saying "Oh well I would be brilliant." You know. And we know that. Well you don't know that. You know? So. But just it's really frustrating.
