Interview excerpt: Mary has found it difficult to find the right balance of pain medication so that she is not too sedated at work.

I've found [medication and work] hasn't been a great combination [laughing]. I've found particularly each time - Like the neurologist wanted me to go onto a very high dose, and every time I increased the dose it would knock me out a bit for a couple of weeks. And then last year, I've been doing the opposite - I've been coming off them. And I've found that very difficult, in terms of - your brain is obviously reacting to suddenly not having them there. So it's been great that, that I've managed to do that. But along the way, it has - it has made it - it has created another little challenge, I suppose, coping with those symptoms as well.
